Radios
The Cuyahoga County Office of Emergency Management administers and maintains a cache of over 50 handheld and mobile public safety radios.
All of the radios are programmed with the ability to access the three main radio systems within Cuyahoga County. Most public safety forces in Cuyahoga County use at least one of these systems.
- MARCS (Multi-Agency Radio Communication System)
- GCRCN (Greater Cleveland Radio Communication Network)
- The Parma System
There are a few organizations that help guide emergency communications and the land-mobile radio program, in-general.
- APCO International (Association of Public Safety Communication Officials)
- NENA (National Emergency Number Association)
CCOEM also maintains some internet hotspots and cellular telephones. All of the equipment has been tested and used in actual events.
