Proclamations and Certificates from County Executive Chris Ronayne
Proclamations and certificates are issued by the County Executive to provide special recognition for constituents, businesses, organizations, and events.
Proclamations are typically longer with 3-5 stanzas recognizing the individual/organization/event. Please note that a proclamation will require more information be provided.
Certificates are typically a shorter recognition option. They include 1 or 2 lines recognizing the individual/organization/event.
Proclamations and certificates are typically issued for:
- Groundbreakings/grand openings
- Company/organization awards
- Retirements
- Events or conferences
- Milestone anniversaries
- Milestone birthdays
- Condolences
- Special ceremonies
- Other recognitions as specified
Proclamations will not be issued for:
- Events, organizations, or individuals with no direct relationship to Cuyahoga County
- Matters of political controversy, ideological or religious beliefs, or individual convictions
- Campaigns contrary to County policies
Special Notes:
- Cuyahoga County reserves the right to modify or deny any proclamation or certificate request
- More than one cause may be proclaimed simultaneously
- An organization or individual does not have exclusive rights to the day, week, or month of their proclamation
